Sports Medicine Specialist
Gregory W. Soghikian, MD is a fellowship-trained orthopaedic surgeon. He is board certified by the American Board of Orthopaedic Surgery. He subspecializes in shoulders and sports medicine.
Gregory W. Soghikian, MD is a sports medicine specialist whose clinical interests include arthroscopic shoulder reconstruction, arthroscopic knee surgery and ligament reconstruction, and ACL injury prevention. Dr. Soghikian finds the most satisfaction in treating high school and college athletes.
“What makes me proud is the ability for someone with a potentially devastating injury to get back to playing a sport.”
He takes great pride in helping younger people who aren’t used to dealing with such a significant injury, or disability to recover and return to a high level of competition.
“I can think of a specific football player who had a truly devastating injury. It would not have been unusual for him to not be able to return to any sports activity. Due significantly to his own hard work after surgery, he ended up being able to come back and play football in college.”
Dr. Soghikian works hard to ensure that his patients are active participants, both in making decisions about their treatment and in the recovery process.
Gregory W. Soghikian, MD is board certified by the American Board of Orthopaedic Surgery and only one of a few physicians in New Hampshire that also holds the Board’s Certificate of Added Qualification in Sports Medicine.
A Magna Cum Laude graduate of Harvard University, Dr. Soghikian graduated medical school from Southwestern Medical School, University of Texas, Dallas, Texas. He interned at Massachusetts General Hospital, Boston, Massachusetts. He did his residency at George Washington University Medical Center, Washington, D.C. He did his fellowship in sports medicine at Tahoe Fracture Clinic South Lake, Tahoe, California.
