About Daniel C. Wilson, MD

Daniel C. Wilson, MD, came to practice medicine later than most. Initially aspiring to become a teacher, he studied English in college. However, a sports injury shortly after graduation led him to explore the field of medicine.

“I saw first-hand how surgery can restore function and improve someone’s quality of life, and I credit my time as a patient with my decision to pursue a career in orthopaedic surgery,” he recalls.

This revelation became most evident during his joint replacement rotation in residency.

“Seeing patients who were previously debilitated by arthritis pain walking into the clinic after a joint replacement was extremely rewarding,” says Dr. Wilson.

Practicing medicine also allows him to continue his passion for education.

“People are very curious when it comes to their joint replacement, and rightly so. Whether it be questions about the surgery itself, their implants, or their recovery, I take great pride in helping guide them through this process,” he states.
