Jake A. Motha, DPT graduated from the College of Health Sciences at the University of Massachusetts Amherst and received his Doctorate of Physical Therapy from Franklin Pierce University. He is Certified in Dry Needling by the American Academy of Manipulative Therapy and is a member of the American Physical Therapy Association.

Jake became a Physical Therapist after experiencing Physical Therapy as a patient. As a 20 year old he herniated a disc which resulted in severe Sciatic pain. For two years he suffered from pain radiating down the back his left leg. He tried everything to mitigate the pain. Finally, his second round of physical therapy that helped to resolve the pain and get his life back.

Jake has been at New Hampshire Orthoapedic Center since 2013. He says that to work at New Hampshire Orthoapedic Center is to be part of a family. The receptionists, medical assistants, nurses, physician assistant-C, and physicians all work well together to provide the best care for our patients. He enjoys being part of that team.

He says that every day he has the opportunity to come to work and help people overcome disabilities and physical impairment whether they are rehabbing from a surgery or recovering from a traumatic injury. According to Jake, nothing is more rewarding than helping someone get their life back.

Jake and his wife have one daughter. He enjoys woodworking and built her first crib. His family enjoys hiking with their two English pointers, Fonzi and Boudica. Jake enjoys skiing in the winter and riding his motorcycle in the summer. He has played the guitar for 15 years, and is now learning the piano. He also enjoys playing and restoring pinball machines.
