About Heather C. Killie, MD

Heather C. Killie, MD is a fellowship-trained, board-certified general adult and pediatric orthopedic surgeon who specializes in sports medicine. Additionally, she offers many alternative non-surgical treatments for orthopedic conditions. Dr Killie frequently performs shoulder rotator cuff repair, Bankart repair for dislocated shoulders, shoulder labral repair, anterior cruciate ligament (ACL) reconstruction, and knee meniscectomy. She also treats other  injuries to the shoulder and biceps.

Education & Training

Dr. Killie graduated from the University of Massachusetts Medical School in Worcester, Massachusetts in 2001. She went on to complete her internship and residency as an orthopedic surgeon at UMass Medical Center in Worcester, Massachusetts. From there, she did her fellowship training in Sports Medicine at the Union Memorial Hospital in Baltimore, Maryland. There she worked with several collegiate and professional sports teams including the Baltimore Ravens.

Community Service

Heather C. Killie, MD has served as the team physician for Nashua South High School since 2008. She is also the consulting physician for Merrimack High School football, the New Hampshire Avalanche and Cyclones hockey teams.  She also enjoys working closely with the athletic trainer fellows at the  New Hampshire Musculoskeletal Institute.

Personal/Hobbies

Heather grew up on the small island of Nantucket where her family still owns and operates a successful landscaping company. She attributes her work ethic to her father and brings her down-to-earth upbringing to her practice each day.
She is the proud mother of two great boys. They keep her very busy outside of work with sports and music. They enjoy playing golf, hiking, skiing, paddle boarding, and going to the beach whenever they can. She also loves to get outside to trail run with her two spoiled dogs – rain, snow or shine.
