Hand & Upper Extremity Specialist
Arjun Dhayalan, MD is a fellowship-trained orthopedic surgeon specializing in hand and upper extremity surgery. He is board certified by the American Board of Orthopedic Surgery and is a member of the American Society for Surgery of the Hand.
Dr. Arjun Dhayalan specializes in hand and upper extremity surgery, drawn to the field by the complexity of the anatomy and the problem-solving it requires. He believes that the hand, wrist, and elbow demand precision and thoughtful decision-making, noting that even small improvements can lead to meaningful changes in how patients function day-to-day. Orthopedics allows him to combine detailed anatomical knowledge with practical solutions that directly improve quality of life.
Dr. Dhayalan places a strong emphasis on non-operative care whenever appropriate, ensuring that surgery is only recommended when it truly offers the best outcome. When surgical treatment is needed, his clinical interests focus on minimally invasive techniques and office-based procedures using local-only anesthesia (WALANT).
“Patients can expect a thoughtful evaluation, an honest discussion of all available treatment options, and a care plan tailored to their goals, lifestyle, and comfort level.”
Dr. Dhayalan focuses on patient-centered upper extremity care designed for faster recovery, less pain, and minimal downtime. His specific areas of expertise include:
