John’s Story

I had both knees replaced 8 weeks apart in 2011. I had suffered a long time and had too many clean outs so it was time to do it. Dr Goumas replaced my knees and I was up and walking the same day. I was driving myself to PT 3 days later. Everything went so smooth I was amazed. I started getting back to my normal active life almost immediately. Within one year of having my knees done I climbed Mt Washington. I have done this many times before but this was the first time I had done it without great pain. Flash forward to this morning and I was loading the leg press machine at the gym (see my picture). It dawned on me that I am back to lifting like I was in my 20’s and I am now 49 years old. I had stopped my leg routines many years before I had my knees replaced because the pain was too great for days after. I am so happy I did this and I am sorry that I did not write this earlier. Thank you Dr Goumas and all the staff at the office for getting my life back to where I wanted it to be. John
