Christine’s Story

My story is delayed and I denied myself a life for over 3 years. I was a fully functional and active person before my hip started giving me mobility issues…it started slowly but eventually I was completely dependent on a cane and became isolated because going anywhere or doing anything was so painful, tasking and exhausting. I tried everything and anything to avoid surgery…Why? Because I had a bad previous medical experience at a major hospital in Boston that left me severely traumatized because I had permanent damage from that Boston surgeon.
Dr Garber’s approach and demeanor and the support of my 2 beautiful grown children wanting a better ending for my life is what finally gave me courage to try and trust again. Except I will add I prayed to God and left it in his hands to overcome my fears. LIFE CHANGING RESULTS!! Best ever recovery!!! I did everything as instructed…PT essential. After 2 weeks of surgery I could stand straight and steady and get my posture back and WALK AGAIN without assistance. ..something I loved all my life. As a woman I can dance and swing my hips again. I have zero pain including lower back pain. Surgery was done May 2024…Got my life back!!! Forever Thankful to Dr Garber and his team!!!And I thank Dr Garber for his patience and understanding cause I cancelled 1st surgery date out of fear and went back to him to discuss I was finally ready.
