Kathryn R. Key, PT
Bedford
Physical Therapist
Kathryn R. Key, PT graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Physiotherapy from Curtin University in Bentley, WA, Australia. Kathryn has been a physical therapist since 1986. She is also an APTA Board-Certified Orthopedic Specialist and has worked in both hospital and home-care environments throughout her career.
Kathryn’s younger sister was diagnosed with rheumatoid arthritis when she was very young, so she spent a lot of time at a children's hospital in Western Australia. Kathryn was inspired by the physiotherapists who came in to work with her sister to help her work on her joint motion and activity level.
She joined New Hampshire Orthopaedic Center after working in-home care and a meeting at the Bedford office with Brian Lavigne. The working environment really suited her and she wanted to return to outpatient physical therapy treatment. Kathryn enjoys coming to work at New Hampshire Orthopaedic Center. There is a close family feel in the therapy department. It's a supportive working environment with the physicians and other medical professionals in the same building.
She specializes in outpatient orthopedic physical therapy which includes manual therapy techniques, exercise instruction, and exercise progressing.
Kathryn most enjoys exercise therapy, helping patients build an exercise routine they can then work on at home after completing their physical therapy course. After working in other settings, Kathryn appreciates the amount of time she can spend one-on-one with her patients at New Hampshire Orthopaedic Center.
Outside of work Katheryn enjoys triathlon, running, cycling, skiing, enjoying time with my family, traveling, and camping.
