A message to our patients regarding COVID-19

March 13, 2020

Dear Patients:

We understand and deeply respect that you may be concerned about COVID-19 infection in public places, even at our office. We want to assure you that our staff have further heightened our already extremely rigid sterilization standards in the office to reduce the risk of transmission to our outstanding team and to you, our valued patient.

If you have traveled outside of the country recently, had a fever, cough, respiratory illness and/or have been around someone who may have come in contact with COVID-19, please call or text to discuss your upcoming appointment and/or surgery with our office at 603-883-0091. Due to working in close proximity with all patients, we want to ensure we are taking necessary precautions to make the office a safe environment for everyone that we serve.

This is just one of the ways that we can show our care for you and everyone in our community. Please do not hesitate to reach out with any questions or concerns.

Sincerely,

A message to our patients regarding COVID-19

Dear Patients:

New Hampshire Orthopaedic Center remains open during the COVID-19 outbreak at our Nashua, Bedford and Londonderry locations. Our community hospitals and urgent care centers are preparing for, and treating, cases of COVID-19 and have significantly limited their ability to treat orthopedic patients. To the extent possible, please do you part to avoid urgent care centers and hospital emergency departments for orthopaedic care so that patients with COVID-19 symptoms can be treated. Our MRI and Physical Therapy departments are continuing to see patients and perform scans. In addition, we are offering telemedicine services so that you can be treated by an orthopaedic provider without having to leave your home or health care facility.

We understand and deeply respect that you may be concerned about COVID-19 infection in public places, even at our office. We want to assure you that our staff have further heightened our already extremely rigid sterilization standards in the office to reduce the risk of transmission to our outstanding team and to you, our valued patient. Should you need to visit one of our offices, you have the option to wait outside or in your car and be notified via text message when your exam room is available after checking in with our staff.

Sincerely,

New Hampshire Orthopaedic Center

A Guide To Telehealth

The COVID-19 pandemic has changed the way we go about our daily routine. Social distancing has companies coming up with new ways to provide the same level of care and service, but in a newly presented package. At New Hampshire Orthopaedic Center, we have a new solution for patients to see their specialists—whether it’s for a sprained wrist or a knee replacement consultation. Via telehealth, patients can chat with their physician from home through a video connection.

What is telehealth?

“Telehealth” refers to the broad category of electronic telecommunications technologies, including things like smartphone apps, while “telemedicine,” or video visits, are specific to remote doctor-patient services, allowing you to receive health care and services from your provider who is in a different location.

To participate in telemedicine, patients can use Facetime on their device (smart phone or tablet) or GoTo Meeting on their computer. When the appointment time comes, the patient and provider log in and talk to one another over a video connection.
